happy christmas everybodyHere is a a look at the design for our Christmas Card which went to all our 'DesignBy' clients. It takes a little snippet of our logo, turning it into a series of snow and grass covered islands inhabited by a small colony of Showler and Showler penguins. Hope everyone has a Great Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in 2010. |

first look: powder retreatsHere is an early sneek peak at Powder Retreats, a stylish new coffee table book featuring a selection of the world's greatest winter getaways. In order to promote the minimalist showcase, which is due to be published in time for next years ski season, our client asked us to design a prototype featuring a number of sample spreads. The finished sample came back from the printers a couple of days ago, and subject to a few tweeks and changes, things are shaping up nicely. For a closer look check out the new Powder Retreats website which we also recently finished work on. |

retro photo fun on your iPhoneIf you are one of the many iPhone owners out there who are sick to death off it's terrible camera, then this might be the app for you. I downloaded Takayuki Fukatsu's Toy Camera app a few weeks ago and ever since it appeared on my iPhone's homepage, I have become addicted to snapping with it. Don't get too excited, it doesn't make the iPhone's camera better, but rather plays up to it's crappy qualities. Using a series of random retro styled colour and black & white filters as well as an (optional) square format, it turns you iPhone into a lo-fi experimental camera. More often than not the results are both surprising, stunning and retro cool. The iPhone Toy Camera app is available from the Apple iTunes Store for £1.19 |

another bright idea...Showler and Showler can now offer a complete end to end web design and development service. We'll take any web project from the seed of an idea, give it the high quality professional look to suit your brand, shepherd it through the development process - taking time to make sure it is standard compliant (XHTML/ CSS) and cross-browser compatible. We can then set it up within a suitable content management system (CMS) for you to update as you will, or you can leave all of that to us. If you are interested in us redesigning your site then why not give us a call on 01903 232226 or email us and we'll be happy to advise. |
