Morning Has Broken

The brochure for The Vicarage is one brochure I'll always remember creating, for the simple reason that you just don't forget a sunrise like this. Having woken at some ungodly hour from our home in Sussex, I made my way down to the Kent coast. Driving in the pitch dark of mid winter with a slight sense of trepidation, as you can never really predict what the weather and therefore the sunrise might do when it does eventually peak through the darkness.

Eventually arriving in the small village of St Margaret's at Cliffe, I wound my way down the cliff side road to the beach, just as the warm glow on the horizon broke through the frosty air. Quickly leaping from my car with SLR in hand, I began capturing as many images from as many points of view as possible. It was a race against time, as the period for which this magical light lasts is incredibly brief.

The resulting photos mixed with the burnt orange and mid aqua grey accent colours combine to create a simple yet captivating little brochure.
