We All Live in a Lula Submarine...

With this our seventh catalogue for the Lula Sapphire range, it was time for a bit of a change. While we and everyone at Lula loved the series of six square brochures we designed for the company's assortment of baby & toddler products, the one thing it didn't do was fit the criteria for Royal Mails entry level mailing category - something that has become more & more important in these times of rising postal costs. The decision was made to continue with the on going theme of objects/ places/ vehicles on the cover, all of which we draw stylistically to match the Lula Sapphire branding which we designed when the company first launched. In this case we went for a submarine which was loosely inspired by The Beatles' Yellow Submarine. As is usual with a Lula Sapphire brochure, there are die cuts through the front cover which mirror the dots and heart of the logo.

Inside things have undergone a few tweaks and changes as well, generally lifting the feel, quality and all round experience for any one perusing the brochure. The bubbles which can be seen blowing from the top of the sub on the cover, were used as a theme throughout the internal spreads, neatly tying the whole journey, from cover to cover, together.
