Coding Outside The Box

Continuing our re-brand of award-winning new contemporary homes developer Environ Communities, we have recently completed web design and development work on their new website - a multimedia hub with access to their entire flickr photo library in high resolution, information on past, present and future development schemes, an on-going blog and a range of their latest videos.

The project required close collaboration between our web design and development team and a number of key client stakeholders. We used our industry leading project management processes to ensure we maintained our high standards of project delivery and quality assurance whilst keeping within budget and milestone deadlines.

The entire website was re-built from the ground-up within the ModX CMS (Content Management System) platform, allowing the client complete control over the website and its content once we had finished the creative and technical work.

We designed the schemes section to work in such a way that was flexible depending on the clients needs. Each individual scheme can either be linked to its own website, an individual gallery page or it's own seperate information page with thumbnail enlargements and ‘Notify Me' box (allowing users to add their email address to a database, which Environ can acccess to send targetted eMarketing campaigns out via our MailBa.se emailer system).

We used a number of pre-existing web services such as Flickr and Vzaar to power some of the multimedia functionality and give the site a solid bedrock of reliability.

The site was coded in xHTML, CSS and jQuery using best practices for SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and is hosted on our AirBa.se hosting service.
